WEALTH COACHING
Managing your money and planning for the future should be exciting, not scary.
Wealth Coaching provides the tools to understand your money tendencies, identify your values, organize your income and expenses, and build a plan that helps you feel at peace.
Over 50% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
Your money affects nearly every area of your life.
When your finances are chaotic, everything from your relationships to your health to your work feels out of control. When your finances are dialed in, every area in your life feels a little more hopeful and peaceful.
Wealth coaching helps you create peace in your finances by giving you the tools to work a monthly cash flow plan, organize and strategize debt repayment, understand your expenses (and where you can reign them in), and invest your income for retirement. Most of all, wealth coaching gives you a why. The work you do in wealth coaching helps you organize your thoughts about what you want and why. From there, the path toward wealth becomes clear and you will discover motivation and certainty where previously there was avoidance and fear.
Money is one of the leading causes of divorce in America. It's estimated that financial problems contribute to 20-40% of all divorces.
Our wealth coaching clients come from a vast range of circumstances. We have clients with seven-figure incomes (and are wise enough to know they still don’t have everything figured out) and clients who live near the poverty line and are working to change that. We work with people nearing retirement or still in high school.
“We made so much progress!”
“We worked with Dusty from Skull & Bones Society with a focus on financial coaching. His ability to connect on a personal level with us and navigate our unique situation was invaluable. Having a neutral third party with tons of knowledge and clearly has our best intentions in mind allowed us to make tremendous gains during our sessions. We made so much progress and feel so good coming out of our coaching sessions with Dusty. I would recommend anyone who can should hire Skull & Bones.”

MEET DUSTY, YOUR WEALTH COACH
I know this works because I've walked this path myself.
Over a decade ago I had to get really honest with myself (and my wife). I was living what I call the Standard American Lifestyle: barely maintaining payments on a growing mountain of debt, blinders on, working during the week to pay back what I bought last weekend (rinse and repeat until RIP). I decided to change.
I started reading books and listening to wise (and old) money managers. I got a degree in theology (religious philosophy). I replaced bad habits with good habits, learned systems to keep our spending and saving on track. My wife and I got crystal clear on what we valued and why. I learned along the way that wealth is about much more than an investment account or an annual salary.
Our path has been rewarding to say the least. We paid off all our student loan debt, lived on way less than we earned, fully funded retirement accounts before 35, built a rock-solid marriage, became millionaires, paid cash for our house, and we live a life of time-freedom. Though that last sentence took you 5 seconds to read, it took us 15 years to accomplish. I will be the first to tell you: this is a slow, honest, meaningful path. And I’m convinced it’s the best way to live.
In 2022, I became certified as a financial coach because I want to help others succeed on this path.
As your wealth coach, what I’m NOT going to do is try to convince you to build a life that looks like mine. My life looks the way it does because I make choices that are rooted in my values. I have tattoos, backpack the world, work remotely, live in a smaller than average house and drive used luxury cars (that I paid cash for). I don’t expect that you want all the same choices and circumstances as me. What I WILL do is help you identify and understand your unique value set and take actions and habits that align. Give it time and you will eventually start to notice outcomes in your life that are the result of your values-informed choice. And that is what I call good living. That’s what I’m here to help you accomplish.
“Being financially illiterate makes you a pawn. Financial literacy makes you sovereign.”
